Merry Christmas to you

Dear family and friends
4 month has past already since our wedding, though the church ceremony and party seems like yesterday in our memory. We enjoyed every minute of the weekend together with all of you.

We have been busy preparing for the honeymoon. We decided to plan and book everything ourselves. It is very time consuming, however this way we tailormake the journey. We leave Febr. 28 for Hawaii.

We will keep our webpage open for at least until the summer 2016.

We wish you all a joyfull Merry Christmas and happy New Year with prosperity and healthy days.

Love Egle and Erik

It is with deep sadness our dear friend Anna left this world thursday evening July 30

It is with deep sadness our dear friend Anna left this world thursday evening July 30, after long fight with cancer, quietly and peacefully surrounded by her family and close friends.
Anna will always be in our hearts and we will remember our friendship and the good time we had together. Anna was an inspiration and example to follow for all of us with her warm and positive mind. She always made people feel special and appreciated. Egle and I was with Anna on the last days when she peacefully past away. Our thoughts are with Annas children Victoria and Jacob, family and friends.
Anna participated and followed our wedding preparations with joy all the way. We are sure Annas spirit will be with us at the wedding and remind us all how important it is to enjoy the good and happy moments of life with grace and appriciation.

Wedding traditions (click here to enter directly)

Wedding traditions have roots in the history, culture and religious beliefs and with our different cultural bagground, there are many ways we could celebrate our wedding.

We wish to make this day very special and unique for us and at the same time provide an excited and entertaining event for our families and friends. We have decided to merge the best of our traditions both in the Church and at the wedding party. We will to some extend follow and respect the traditions, both the Lithuanian and Danish, however in our own way. We will combine the Lithuanian and Danish style and hope you will all enjoy the day with us.
We have prepared a description of Lithuanian and Danish wedding traditions and will later update with our own wedding program. Please explore the two new pages. (Click on "Mere" at the top right corner of this page to enter the wedding pages) Enjoy the reading.

Update of recent events and tour to Vilnius (Click here to enter photos directly)

Dear family and friends
Many things has happend recently and we wish to summarize the recent events for you. Please also visit our photoalbum. (slideshow and full screen is most effectful)

Egle has bought her wedding dress. Hopefully it will arrive before the wedding! Lets see…

Erik will look for a new Toxido with Kent (Best man) in June.

We have had our first wedding consulting meeting with Sune & Aura and Carsten talking about wedding program, multicultural weddings, Lithuanian and Danish wedding traditions and how they can be merged into our wedding. Thank you so much. It was a great day, that we enjoyed very much. Sune has agreed to be the toastmaster for the wedding dinner. During June we will update our wedding program with more details.

We spend Pentecost holiday (Pinseferien) in Lithuania together with Vips and Carl (Eriks Mother and Father) where we visited Vilnius, Trakai with a boat tour at the lake Galve and Kaunas. The highlight of the tour was our visit to Egles friend Ausra in Vilnius and Egles mother Marija, Aunt Vale and Uncle Antanas, Cousin Reda & Cousin Renata in Kaunas. It was a very fantastic and joyful day with many Lithuanian cakes, toasts, brandy and songs. We also visited Uncle Antanas “Art gallery” of woodcraft in the basement of his house. Thank you cousin Reda and Ausra for your cheerful support and always great society everytime we are in Vilnius!

Cousin Reda had also arranged a hen party (bachelor party) for Egle and her Lithuanian friends in Vilnius May 21.

We have also bought our wedding rings. The rings are handmade by Icelandic Goldsmith Hjalmar Hjalmarsson. It has been a very exciting process and experience following Hjalmars work with our rings. We have visited Hjalmar and Gitte in their Gallery at Østerbro several times for very enjoyable talk and discussion about design, type and shape of our wedding rings. Our rings are handmade, formed and shaped in the traditional hammered way with a touch of old scandinavian look. – See link "wedding ring" at the bar on top of the webpage.

Start of our wedding page

Dear family and friends.
Welcome to our wedding webpage.
We are very excited and happy to invite you to explore our page and join us in the coming months.
The invitation did not provide all the information you need, however we will use this homepage to provide you with information and program for our wedding.
The first and most important information is that we wish to have a party where everyone can relax and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere at Skjoldnæsholm without considering driving home during the night or a place to stay.
We have arranged our wedding party including overnight stay at Skjoldnæsholm (without any cost for the guests)
More updates will follow in the near future.
We hope you will enjoy the journey together with us.

Nuosirdziausi linkejimai / with love / Kærlig hilsen

Egle and Erik
